I am the pastor's wife. No one sees me as an individual, unique person, or tries to get close to me.
What are superficial relationships, feeling unseen?
The wife feels she has to be perfect and is always judged.
What is living in a fishbowl/glass house? What is lie of the enemy? What is adding unecessary weight?
I've isolated myself from others because they say and do things that hurt my feelings.
What is mean church members?
I can't remember the last time my husband and I had fun together.
What is lack of dates and quality time?
My husband is always on call. I feel like I get the leftovers.
What is a busy pastor/husband?
I'm so tired of hearing about how perfect my kids should be.
What is complaints about children?
I have too much to do to help my husband and the church. Who has time for fun or relationships?
What are busy pastor's wives?
I don't need anyone and prefer to be alone.
What is trick of the enemy?
I'm scared to get close to anyone, because as soon as I get to know someone, we move to a different location.
What is frequent moves, or change of church.
The church salary does not meet needs, and the pastor and family are not able to do the things they want or meet needs.
What is financial struggles?
Someone told me that they are leaving the church because my husband is a lousy speaker/pastor.
What are complaining church members?
The church is like a mistress to my husband, and I feel he's abandoned me for someone else.
What is the wife/marriage is not the priority?
A church member introduced me to someone as, "just the pastor's wife."
What is viewed as a second class person?
I don't try to get close to church members because I found out they tell my business to others.
What is broken confidences?
I've heard that there are support groups for wives of pastors, but I'm not familiar with any.
