“Make sure you call first.”

We’re going to call you when the expert is on the way over, but is there any reason why that time wouldn’t work for you?

100

Homeowner says “No” to the DNC.

By saying “yes”, you are just confirming that we have your consent to call or text you regarding a free estimate. Please confirm by saying “yes”.

100

“How long is the estimate good for?”

We guarantee the estimate in writing for a full year. (close/back into script)

100

“I’m not going to be doing this project.” or “I don’t need an estimate on anything right now.”

No problem, we don’t expect you to buy anything or be in the market, we just leave you with an estimate in writing and we’ll honor it for whenever you’re ready. (close/back into script)

200

“How long does the estimate take?”

The estimate’s really straightforward, what we'll do is come out, measure up the (W/R/S), and print out that price in writing for you. It really just depends on how many questions you have… the estimate can be as involved as you'd like it to be. (close/back into script)

200

“I don’t give out my cellphone number.” or “You can have my home phone.”

Okay, but we’ve found that we often miss people on their landlines, just because people are at work or running errands when we call, so do you have a cell phone incase we miss you (on the home)?

200

“Do you need to get on my roof?”

No, our expert can do the entire estimate from the ground. (close/back into script)

200

“Why do you need to know my plans?” or “Just put me down for (date / time)”

I have a few different appointment times throughout the evening, I just want to make sure I'm working around YOUR schedule. (I don’t want to interfere with any doctor appointments or events). So do have any plans to leave before/after (specific time or work)?

300

“Does anyone have to come into my house to do the estimate?”

Yes, it is really simple and easy.  We would come inside the home to meet with you and show you our different styles and options. (close/back into script)

300

“I already gave this info to your CDR.”

I understand, we just like to verify all the information with the homeowner so nothing gets lost in translation. (close/back into script)

300

“I might be selling the house.”

If you decide to sell the home as-is, by all means that’s your choice. But it could be worthwhile to explore what it would cost to replace the (W/R/S) before putting the house on the market… Because doing so would boost curb appeal, re-sell value, and likely help the house sell quicker. Either way, having a price for the (W/R/S) on-hand will be a helpful variable to have in mind when deciding whether to sell the house as-is or fix it up a bit before putting it on the market. (close/back into script)

300

“Why does my spouse need to be involved?”

Just so you’re aware, our estimates actually change/vary based on your input, so to ensure it’s going to be accurate, we try to have all homeowners present including (spouses or significant others). If you’re the primary person to speak to regarding the (W/R/S), that’s fine, as long as they’re home too. (close/back into script)

What is assassination?

400

“Can you just leave the estimate in the mailbox if I’m not home?” or “Just drop off the estimate.” or “Just put the estimate in the door.”

We never like to just drop something off because we do have different styles and options and your input really affects the estimate. So it’s helpful to have you available to ensure the estimate’s going to be accurate. Plus, we don’t want to be roaming around your property with nobody home. (close/back into script)

400

“I already scheduled an appointment”

I have the live schedule in front of me, so I can check and see if we have that time available. (close/back into script)

400

“My (insert family member/friend) is a contractor and will do this work for me.”

Oh cool, that’s always nice having a family member or friend that can do that sort of work for you… and by all means, choose whoever you’d like to do your (W/R/S)… But as far as we go, we've been in business for over 25 years, all of our products are exclusive, and we’ve done a very high concentration of work in your area, so you could at least just use our estimate to compare and contrast with not only your (insert family member/friend), but anyone else you speak to for that matter. (close/back into script)

400

“Why does my spouse need to be involved?” (Tier 2)

In the past, we’ve had a lot of experience meeting with just one homeowner. We've come out and met with just the one spouse.. guaranteed a price in writing… they call us a back a year later… and we actually come out to do the installation and the spouse that previously wasn't there is now saying …”I want the installation done this way, with these materials and this style.”… It can get pretty dicey… so as a business, just to avoid discrepancies, we would like both of you there for the estimate. (close/back into script)

500

“How much do the windows cost?”

TIER 1: The estimate actually varies based on your input and is tailored to your home’s specific needs, so we would need to come out and see the home before we’re able to give to you an accurate price. (close/back into script)

TIER 2:  Unfortunately, I don’t deal with the pricing, but when the expert gets out there they can get as specific as you would like with all the numbers. (close/back into script)

500

“I only have a short time frame (half hour, 1 hour, etc.)”

I don’t want to inconvenience you, so ideally I’d want to try for a (day/evening) that you didn’t have as much going on. Do you have any plans (next day)?

500

"This is a rental property." (Homeowner is the landlord)

“Just wanted to clarify, our products are higher end and more energy efficient, which landlords often find may not be ideal for a rental property or a house that’s not a primary residence. Is this something you'd be looking to get the estimate on for this property?”

500

“Why do you need to know my plans?” or “Just put me down for (date / time)” (Tier 2)

So (homeowner), I don't want to give you the wrong impression. The estimate is really simple and easy, but we would want to meet with you and answer any questions that you [or (other owner)] had, and I’d hate to send my expert out there and not have enough time to get that done. So do you have any plans?
