This chamber of Congress requires a 2/3 majority vote for an amendment to pass
What is the House of Representatives?
Though Congress stepped in to override his vote, he vetoed all proposed legislation (laws) during Reconstruction
Who is Andrew Johnson?
He was from Tennessee and became president following the Compromise of 1877
Who is Rutherford B. Hayes?
Having to pay around $2, this was one of the barriers that prevented people from voting
