Title
Word that connects words, phrases, clauses, or sentences.
Conjunction
The verb form that must be used because the text narrates events that have already been completed in the past.
Past Tense
"It was a rainy Tuesday morning when I nervously walked into the audition room for the first time." What kind of recount sentence is that?
Personal Recount
The main sequence of events narrated in chronological and detailed order.
Events
Word that describes action performed by the subject of the sentence.
Action Verb
At the award show, I _______ (learn) clapping is important.
learned
A text that retells an event or experience the writer personally participated in.
Personal Recount
The conclusion part that contains the writer's summary or emotional reflection on the events that took place.
Reorientation
words or phrases that describe when action happened (last year, yesterday, just now), for how long (for hours, since last week), and how often (frequently, never, annually)
Adverb of Time
He was so angry after the argument that he ______ (stride) out of the room without saying goodbye.

A text that narrates the life story (or a significant part of it) of another person.
Biographical Recount
The beginning section of the text that answers WHO, WHERE, and WHEN questions.
Orientation
Words like Then, After that, or Finally that connect the sequence between incidents.
Time Conjunction / Time Connectives
The verb form that narrates both actions occurred at the same time, but one action began earlier and was in progress when other action occurred.
Past Continuous / Past Progressive
A text that records an event impartially (without personal feelings) to inform the reader. The writer may or may not have been present.
Factual Recount
Arranging the events exactly as they happened in time, from the beginning to the end. The backbone of a Recount Text that without it, the memory would be confusing and unstructured.
Chronological Order
Adverbs that describe how an action is performed in a sentence.
Adverb of Manner
