What is Summer Workshop? Where does it usually take place?
Summer Workshop takes place at the Alpha Phi House at UCLA! We stay for 3 days getting into the details of HOW to recruit. Mandatory unless you have valid excuses!
What is Spirit Week?
The work week leading up to Fall Recruitment- where we get content for PNMs, finalize run throughs / bump groups, etc
Why is Primary (fall) Recruitment very important for our chapter.
We receive our biggest pledge class during Fall and we have a better opportunity to talk to girls in depth over a span of several days. These days really help us make deeper connections and potentially find our future Little’s!
What is Bid Day?
Bid Day Best Day!!! Time to get hyped. Our amazing new pledge class receives their bids and we take them home with us to celebrate. Make sure all of the new mems feel the love and are welcomed with open arms.
What Is A Golden Nugget?
Something that a PNM is very passionate talking about.

Who is on the Recruitment Team? What are their responsibilities?
Lily, Grace, Nadia, Liv, Ella, Shannon
In charge of facilitating fall, winter, and spring recruitment. Everything from recruitment, bid day, workshop training, planning events/spirit week, and selecting our new pledge classes etc!
When do we start planning for Bid Day?
Emely & Lily start planning on Spring!

The group you will be rotating with when talking to PNMs.
What round does BID DAY come after?
What is absolutely NOT allowed to be discussed during Recruitment convos with PNMs
Frats/Parties (frat guys must be referred to as "Fraternity Men") Booze/Drinking, No talking bad on other sororities or mentioning Aphi as "TOP house", NO bid OR big/little promising... EVER!

Pre-Recruitment Event Unexcused Tardy (Workshop/Polish Week) ($25/roll call)
Pre-Recruitment Event Unexcused Absence (Workshop/Polish Week) ($100/day)
Recruitment – Days 1, 2, 3, Preference, or Bid Day Unexcused Tardy ($75/roll call)
Recruitment – Days 1, 2, 3, Preference, or Bid Day Unexcused Absence ($200/day)
Improper Rush Etiquette Infraction (price varies)
When is it okay to promise a bid?
NEVER. This would be considered dirty rushing. Remember to NEVER promise a PNM a bid or that you’ll “see them tomorrow.” Also be very cautious about what you talk about with the PNM - avoid any conversation surrounding parties, frats, alcohol and any other sororities.
