What is prebreak and what is a prebreak spot?
The spot before break! (ie. you are on break after you get bumped!)
Prebreak spot is a mutually agreed upon (between bump group) location in the room that reminds sisters they will be on break once they are bumped in that spot

*personal experiences! ie. "I have friends in [almost] every sorority and it only builds a stronger Greek community!"
What is a ghost bump?
when a PNM is a "no show", the sister that was originally matched with that PNM has a "ghost PNM" so they will report to break with MVPs, but we will still pretend bump that sister
Why are voting and comments so important?
these are what helps matching committee match sisters with PNMs! they also help determine who gets invited/released for the next round & help us get babies that demonstrate our values!
What can we not talk about with PNMs and what happens if we do and get caught?
boys (or girls), bids, booze

What qualifies someone as a legacy?
PNM's parents are NOT on board
-explain what a sorority is and how Greek life at the UofR is much different than what is displayed on tv, movies, etc.
-explain how it doesn't take away from academics! (even talk about our academic plans: academics chairwoman, how we study together, sisters being TAs, etc.)
What is "cocktail-style" bumping? When do we need to do this?
when a sister has 2 PNMs instead of 1. we do this when there are more PNMs in a party than recruiting sisters

after the chapter votes to accept the invite/release list, PNM status change request forms may be submitted to MSC. MSC has the final say
PNM (first-year) says "I definitely wouldn't want to live on a sorority floor, would i have to?"
-living on the floor is a lot of fun! it's a great opportunity for sisters to bond AND we are UNIQUE in that we offer all singles!
-we have 16 spots to fill and it is expected that, if necessary, sisters would be willing to live on the floor BUT it's so much fun and DEF WORTH IT!
Perform a 15 second bump transition in front of everyone! (day 1 conversations & include the 3 steps of bumping)

this is the "Be Us" phase of recruitment and should be a meaningful, insightful, sentimental conversation between you and the PNM about what GPB means to you and what it can mean to her
trying to convince the PNM that we should be their #1 choice!
What is the difference between invite, flex minus, flex plus, and release list?
Invite: we will invite these women back for the following round
Flex Minus: these PNMs are ON the invite list, but we will release them before the following round IF WE CAN
Flex Plus: these PNMs are on our release list, but we will invite them back for the following round IF WE HAVE TO
Release: we will release these PNMs before the following round
say that we have relationships with every Greek organization! can talk about Yoga for a Good Hood with Sig Ep, Moonball, Fall Fest, Fright Fest, etc.
absolutely under NO circumstances should you talk about mixers, booze, etc.
