Explain the role of a "major" in the major/minor bump rotation.
The major is the recruiter that spends most of the round talking to the pnm. They are second in the bump rotation and lead the pnm out at the conclusion of the round.
What is a golden nugget and why does it matter in recruitment?
A golden nugget is something unique that a person is very passionate about. It is important in recruitment because once we know what a PNM is interested in, we can pair them up with a recruiter that has similar interests.
Name three philanthropy events that we have hosted in the past year.
Red Dress Gala, Mac&Phis, Alpha Freeze
Name the five "Bs".
Boys, booze, ballots, beliefs, and bucks.
Explain the role of a "minor" in the major/minor bump rotation.
The minor spends a limited amount of time with the pnm during a round. They pick the pnm up at the door, talk to the pnm for a while, and then transition the major into the conversation.
What is something you should NEVER bring up in a conversation with a pnm? (not one of the five B's)
Up for interpretation but this includes bids, COB, talking bad about other chapters, etc.
Name Alpha Phi's six pillars.
Sisterhood, service, scholarship, leadership, loyalty, and character development.
What does "SOFTEN" stand for?
Smile, open, forward lean, touch, eye contact, nod
Choose two partners and give a demonstration of how you would transition the bumper into the conversation with the pnm.
Up for interpretation lol
Why is it important for sisters to be aware of their facial expressions and nonverbal cues during recruitment conversations?
PNMs read nonverbal signals, and negative expressions (like boredom, distraction, or judgment) can make them feel unwelcome. Positive, engaged expressions help build a more inviting atmosphere.
