Some may include alcohol, drugs, parties, other organizations, romantic relationships, politics, religion, drama, finances not relevant to being a new member, future rounds, etc.

What should you do if a PNM asks about another sorority or organization?

Politely redirect the conversation to focus on ZTA by saying something like, “I’m not sure about that, but let me tell you more about what makes ZTA special!” This keeps the conversation positive and centered on ZTA.

  • Did you hold any leadership positions in high school? Connect this into PC and EC roles.

What is a positive ID in voting procedure?

It is a description of the PNM that is factual: including hair color, height, major, hometown, pronouns, etc.

What is the person that begins the bump called? Why are they so important?

They are called the ’trigger.’ They are important because they start the transition between conversations, helping ensure a smooth and organized recruitment process.

What are some ZTA requirements? Ie: paying dues.

Living in the house 2 semesters, being on PC once, attending mandatory events, 6 hours of community service as a new member and 12 as an initiated sister, study hours, etc.

We get to go to an NFL game because they’re one of our sponsors! Crucial Catch promotes prevention and early detection of cancer, which can impact anyone at any age, and increases access to lifesaving cancer screenings.

In red light/green light voting, what is the proper procedure? (BONUS! We didn’t go over this… we did it last semester!)

VP III asks for a positive ID about the PNM. She then ensures everyone knows who we are talking about, and procedes by asking if everyone is comfortable with this person receiving an invite to pref or potential bid. Everyone’s eyes are closed and hands raise.
