What is the New Testament in the bible?
It is the second half of the bible, that gives us God's new covenant or God's new promise with His people which is to send Christ Jesus as our Savior.
Why do we celebrate Christmas?
It is celebrated by Christians as a day to remember and rejoice of the birth of our Savior.
....it has NOTHING to do with christmas trees and santa clause.....
Where was Jesus born?
In Bethlehem.
Where did Jesus grow up?
Jesus, was a Nazarene, as He grew up in Nazareth.
How many years did Jesus minister?
It is widely believed that Jesus began His ministry at the age of about thirty and he ministered for three years before His crucifixion.
What are the first four books of the New Testament and what do these books have in common?
Matthew. Mark. Luke. John.
It is in these four books of the bible, where we see Jesus birth, life, death, and resurrection and they are commonly referred to as "the gospels".
How was Jesus conceived?
Jesus was conceived to Mary by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus mother was Mary; however, she had never been with any man; the bible tell us that Jesus was conceived by the virgin Mary through the Holy Spirit.
Jesus had no paternal ties to any earthly father. Jesus father is God in heaven.
Who were the first people to come see Jesus after His birth?
the Shepherds
.....the bible tell us that the shepherds were living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flock and an angel of the Lord appeared to them and said, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today, in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord". and the shepherds went to Bethlehem and saw Jesus with Mary in the manager and went out to spread the good news!
What did Jesus do for a living before his ministry?
It is believed that Jesus was a craftsman, or a carpenter, like his father Joseph.
What is considered the last supper?
It is the last meal that Jesus ate with His disciples before His crucifixion. It would have been the night before Jesus death.
What is the book of Acts known for?
it is known as the "birth of the church"
...the first part of acts begins with Jesus ascension into heaven and then on the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon them and they were filled with the Holy Spirit....and this is when we see Peter and the apostles began preaching in Jerusalem and we get the verse, Jesus says,: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jersusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Who told Mary that she would conceive and give birth to Jesus?
Gabriel.
..the bible tells us that God sent His angel Gabriel to Nazareth to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph and the angel said to Mary "Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God, You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High."
Who were the wise men, also known as Magi?
....the bible tell us that the wise men, were foreigners, who were most likely of some status, who had heard of Jesus birth and they followed a star sent by God to Bethlehem where they found Jesus, the King of the Jews, and worshiped Him.
What do we know about Jesus as a young boy?
It is not a lot written about Jesus as a young boy....in the beginning of Luke, we see Jesus, at twelve years old, in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening and asking questions and the leaders were amazed at Jesus understanding.
It is not until Jesus ministry begins that we really see Jesus life on Earth documented.
What is Holy Communion and why do Christians participate?
During the Last Supper, Jesus shares a meal with His disciples. Jesus takes the bread and says to them, " This is my body for you; do this in remembrance of me" and in the same way the bible says, Jesus takes the cup and says, "this cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you".
Christians participate in communion as a way to remember Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. It is an opportunity for christians to awkowledge that Jesus is our Savior and give thanks to God for His new covenant.

...the bible tells us that John was exiled to the island of patmos for his faith in Jesus Christ and during his exile, Jesus sent an angel to John, and John was to write down everything he saw.
How did Joseph know that Mary would give birth to the Son of God?
Joseph, did not believe Mary at first, and he considered divorce, but
the bible tells us that an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said to Joseph, " Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus because He will save His people from their sins."
What did the wise men bring as gifts to Jesus?
gold (metal); frakincense (incense or perfume); myrrh (oil or perfume)
...these gifts would have cost a lot of money and were common gifts for Kings....
When did Jesus begin His ministry?
Jesus began His ministry after He became an adult and was Baptized in the Jordan River, by John the Baptist.
It was right after His baptism that Jesus went into the wilderness and was tempted by Satan for forty days and forty nights, but Jesus never gave into the temptation.
Who has power over death?
Jesus.
Jesus was brought back to life on the third day just as God had promised.What does the bible tell us at the end of Revelation that we, as Christians, can look forward to?
...the bible tell us that Eden will be restored...the new heaven and the new earth will be created....the new Jerusalem will be brought down from heaven....and we can walk and talk and fellowship and dwell with God forever and forever....with no sin. no sickness. no sadness. no pain.
Why were Mary and Joseph traveling to Bethlehem?
Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world; therefore, Joseph took Mary and they went to Bethlehem, the city of David, because Joseph belonged to the house and line of David.
It was during this travel that Mary gave birth to Jesus.
Who was the current King of Jerusalem that learend of Jesus birth and wanted Him killed?
King Herod.
King Heord, told the wise men, to come back to me when you have founnd the King of the Jews so that I may worship Him also; however, this was not true and Herod was jealous and wanted Jesus killed.
...the wise men were told by God in a dream not to go back to Herod, but to avoid Jeruselam and go back home another way....What was Jesus first miracle?
Jesus and Jesus's mother, Mary, were at a wedding and they ran out of wine at the wedding. Jesus instructed the servants to fill up the jars with water and when the servants took the jars to the master of the banquet, he tasted it and it was wine and the servants had seen the miracle.
How many days did Jesus spend on earth before His ascension into heaven?
40 days.
Jesus spent forty days appearing to many people and on the fortieth day Jesus took His disciples to the Mount of Olives where he ascended back to heaven.
