You walk a building and find striped carpet that is caused from the cleaning, what do you do?

First find that extractor and unclog the jets before the team continues this process and result. Secondly (immediately before the teacher shows up) use the Whitaker to try to even it out.

If that does not work you will have to extract the room.

The week after school is out, the teachers are still usually in session. How do you staff the buildings and what cleaning do you focus on?

Keep Day staff on first to assist school staff and start summer work.  Second shift stays on nights to clean after daily useage of RR’s and offices and secure the buildings. Both shifts focus on summer cleaning of Media Centers, Gyms, Kitchens, Cafes, Locker Complete Cleaning.

What is the number one reason we have to re-do work and why is this a problem?

#1 The CAM  did not walk the buildings soon enough to catch the process that is off before it affected results.       #2 The CAM/DC did not train/validate correct processes and results at the beginning of the summer.     #3 It is a problem because it causes us to have unhappy customers and go over budget. There is no budget or time for re-doing work. It MUST be done right the first time.

You have had to redo work that was messed up by construction and now you are over budget. What do you do?

Contact your RDO to discuss how to handle this with the customer to save hours somewhere else or to charge the customer for the additional work.

At the very least make sure the customer knows we went above and beyond at no charge to make us all look good.

500

When is the cleaning complete and the team is ok to move to the next room, hall, wing, building?

ONLY When the CAM has walked and confirmed with a door sign for the customer.

You walk a building to find it is suddenly and drastically off track to quality or quantity and has to be redone. What do you do?

Call your RDO, schedule an immediate clean up plan, jump in yourself and use your best productive, best quality staff to get back on track asap! DO NOT WAIT!

We do NOT front load or push back the schedule in the summer - it created trouble every time you deviate!
