What does it mean for a ‘hold’ to be placed on your account, and what steps should you take if you have one?

It means that you haven’t cleared your registration; it could be because you didn’t get all immunizations for registering, mandatory programs, disciplinary infractions, academic probations, etc. Contact your academic advisor and find out why you have a hold on your account, and figure out what the steps are to clear it (usually not a lengthy process, depending on the reason).
