Relative Pronouns
This is the most common relative pronoun, used for both people and things.
¿Qué es “que”?
Form of “haber” for “yo” in present perfect indicative.
¿Qué es “he”?
Write the form of “haber” for “yo” in the future perfect.
¿Qué es “habré”?
Conjugate “haber” in the conditional perfect for “yo.”
¿Qué es “habría”?
Past perfect form of “haber” for “yo.”
¿Qué es “había”?
This relative pronoun means “whose” and agrees with the noun that follows it.
¿Qué es “cuyo / cuya / cuyos / cuyas”?
Conjugate: “They have eaten.”
¿Qué es “han comido”?
Complete: “Para mañana, tú ___ terminado el proyecto.”
¿Qué es “habrás”?
Complete: “Ellos ___ llegado a tiempo, pero hubo tráfico.”
¿Qué es “habrían”?
Past perfect subjunctive form of “haber” for “ellos.”
¿Qué es “hubieran”?
This pronoun is only used for people, usually after a preposition.
¿Qué es “quien / quienes”?
Present perfect subjunctive of “tú” + past participle of “llegar.”
¿Qué es “hayas llegado”?
Translate: Within a week, I will have finished my work of art.
Dentro de una semana, habré terminado mi obra de arte.
Translate: “We would have studied, but we didn’t have time.”
¿Qué es “Habríamos estudiado, pero no tuvimos tiempo”?
Translate: “They had already left.”
¿Qué es “Ya habían salido/ido”?
Translate: “The students whose books are on the table are absent.”
¿Qué es “Los estudiantes cuyos libros están en la mesa están ausentes”?
Translate: “I hope you have had a good weekend.”
