This teacher has the longest tenure of those currently working at WRA. In their class, students may find themselves attempting to string a bow, in the tradition of The Odyssey.
Who is Mr. Warner?
This longtime archivist spent nearly 55 years in library work and later became the archivist who uncovered Western Reserve Academy’s first Black student from the 1830s. Additionally, he was Hudson’s citizen of the year in 2009. Retiring from his position at WRA in 2024, he left behind a legendary legacy of historical advocacy.
Who is Tom Vince?
This building is one of two WRA buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, along with the Loomis Observatory. Additionally, marriages and concerts have taken place within this building.
What is the Chapel?
This philanthropist is largely responsible for the success of Hudson. After graduating from WRA, he made his fortune in the coal industry, and a campus building is named for him. His son, Lincoln, was a member of the crew that made the first undisputed overflight of the North Pole in the Norge on May 12, 1926.

This teacher currently works at Reserve. Their dog’s name is Mulder, named for an X-files protagonist. Their classroom is highly decorated, featuring student drawings, quotes, and even a lego set! They are the club advisor to Quiz Bowl. Fantastic book recommendations.

John Sykes Fayette was the first African-American student to graduate from Western Reserve College, present-day Case Western Reserve University in 1836. This student, however, was the first African-American to graduate from Western Reserve Academy, the high school, in 1839.
