  1. Shiv Bhagwan – This story takes place in King Bali’s kingdom in Sutal, where Bhagwan Shri Vishnu was sleeping on His back. Bhagwan Shri Vishnu turned to his side. This was an important moment because it marked the midpoint of Chaturmas. This is the day known as Jal Jhilani.


  1. Krishna Bhagwan – Krishna Bhagwan took a group of gopis accros the Yamuna River in his boat in exchange for this favorite food (makhan). This is the festival of Jal Jhilani, a day we surrender ourselves to Bhagwan in the same way the gopis did.
