Where is the spleen located and what is its role?
the upper left part of your abdomen, tucked just under the rib cage and behind the stomach
What is lymphadenopathy?
swollen or enlarged lymph nodes
What is Cushing syndrome?
occurs when your body has abnormally high levels of the hormone cortisol over a long period
What is dissociation?
a disconnection between a person's thoughts, memories, feelings, actions, or sense of identity
What is kaposi sarcoma?
A rare cancer that develops from the cells lining blood or lymph vessels
What is diabetes mellitus primary vs secondary?
Primary diabetes is the main disease itself, caused by a lack of insulin production or insulin resistance. Secondary diabetes is a complication or side effect of a separate medical condition, surgery, or medication
What is graves disease?
an autoimmune disorder that causes the thyroid gland to become overactive
What is conversion?
a process where unconscious psychological or emotional distress is unconsciously "converted" into real, involuntary physical symptoms.
What is hodgkin disease?
a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is part of your body's immune system

a chemical produced in the brain's hypothalamus and released by the pituitary gland
What is Acromegaly?
a rare hormonal disorder in adults that causes the bones, organs, and soft tissues to grow abnormally large
