If you want to talk, ask a question in class- what do you do?
Raise your hand ... wait to be asked.

Lined up in the hallway (not crowding the door or blocking the hallway)
How you should speak to others in the classroom teacher or student.
Be respectful and polite to everyone - BE KIND OR BE QUIET!
How we treat substitute teachers
With respect and kindness.
Follow classroom expectations even when I'm not there.
What you need to do when leaving the classroom (bathroom, office, etc..)?
Ask before you leave the room. Tell her where you are going.
There is ONE exception to this. What is it?
The first thing you do when there is a fire drill
What will happen if you are caught talking during a fire drill?
TURN YOUR VOICE OFF
Then quickily and quietly get in line.
You have to practice fire drill at recess.
The best time to go to the bathroom
When Ms. Clark is not teaching, during lunch, during switching classes, when we go as a class, on the way to specials, on the way back from specials, first thing in the morning.
How students should behave in the hallway
Lined up quickily in a straight line (one behind the other) and QUIETLY walking to the classroom or gym, etc...
What should you do if you are done early with an assignment?
Read a book, work on other work, help a friend.
When you should be on your Chromebook
Only when instructed.
What you should do if a teacher is talking?
Listen and look at speaker (don't talk)
Is it okay to push, run, talk or yell during a fire drill?
Absolutely NOT!!!
When should you sharpen a pencil?
Anytime not in the middle of a lesson.
You are not allowed to wear these in the classroom
A or hat hood. Unless you ask for a hat pass!
When you should go behind or grab things off of the teachers desk?
NEVER! (unless you are told to or you ask first)
What should you have out durring Math WIN time (Zearn and splash learn)?
Chrome book, pencil or marker for showing your work, and your brain.
What will happen if Mrs. Mertes has to speak to you more than once about behavior (e.g. talking when you shouldn't be, touching other people, taking things, etc ...)
You will move seats, or if it continues to happen you might get a note home and you might have to walk at recess.
Where we go if there is a lock down?
The edge of the sink near cabinets.
What do you do when you enter the room
Go to your spot, get the things you need out, and wait for directions.
Should you run in the hallway or in the classroom and why?
No! It is unsafe.
What you do if you need a pen or pencil
Ask if you can borrow one.
If I can not handle my assigned seat
You will be moved or put you on an island (a desk by itself)
The expectation for effort?
It is okay to not know something, it is not okay to not try.
Is it okay to use your phone at any time of the school day?
Nope!
What happens if you cheat/copy off of somebody else?
You will have a conversation with the teacher and You will have to redo the assignment and you parents will be called!
How loud students should be talking when they are sitting next to someone they are working with?
The teacher and other table groups should not be able to hear you!
Can you bring things back from the lunchroom and eat it in class?
No! Eat it at lunch.
What are the rules for sitting in the Library Cave?
Only when Mrs. Mertes says
Only if you are on task the entire time
Only if you are quite
Only when we are doing independent work.
What you should do if you need extra help or have a problem
Come and talk to the teacher if she isn't busy if she is ask 3 before me.
