From your reading: Thomas the apostle was not present at the time, but he met her in the clouds as she ascended into heaven on the 16 , three days after the apostles buried her. When Thomas met the other apostles, he asked them about the Virgin Mary. They told him that they buried her body three days ago. But Thomas said he would not believe it unless he saw her body himself. So, they went to her grave to show him, but found no body inside. Thomas then told them that he saw the Virgin Mary ascending into heaven, and showed them the linen she gave him as a proof for her ascension.
