Point of view where the reader knows all the characters' thoughts and feelings

When an author lists items or events in numerical or chronological order - either explicit or implied

Used in isolation to express a feeling, give a command, or greet someone

A sentence with two independent clauses joined by a conjunction
What is a compound sentence?
A reference within a work to another literary work, an event in history, or a famous artwork

Example:
Stephen King, a famous author, writes suspenseful novels.

When an author "shows" the order of where things are placed (i.e. directions)

Tells where or when something is happening

A word or phrase that describes or explains another word or phrase in a sentence (hint: we correct a lot of misplaced...)
