#9 Describe the Northeast, South, and West at this point in history and the attitudes of the people in each area.
The Northeast was fueled by industry and factories. The people liked tariffs because it protected their businesses, like building infrastructure (transportation system) because they could ship their products easier, and liked the BUS. The Southerners economy was based on plantations and cash crops like cotton. They did not like the tariffs because it made buying goods more expensive, did not like the BUS, and did not like the infrastructure improvements because it used tariff money. The Westerners were mostly adventurers and pioneers living off the land. They supported the building of infrastructure, so they could travel easier and were ok with the tariffs because they were needed to build the infrastructure.
