A person that lived in the colonies who wanted to remain under control of the King and Great Britain.
Loyalist
Something that encourages a person to do something.

British soldiers that fought in the Revolutionary War.

The act of keeping others from passing through, keeping needed goods from being delivered.

protest against King George.

To complain publicly about something you feel is unfair.

A patriot who warned the colonial militia the British were coming to attack.

A plan of action to achieve a goal. Every army has a strategy to overcome their enemy.
Strategy/Tactic
A form of government that is run by the people; the people are free to make choices about their lives.

A sudden change, such as overthrowing the government.
