Who are the GNDs?
This event is where all uiuc a cappella dresses up like cowboys and go on neon-colored buses to Dan Miner's farm where a 98-year-old man DJs and drives a tractor.
What is Bance?
Every mom's weekend the Rip Chords host this concert! It is a celebration of all of the work we accomplished throughout the year! It is also celebrating 35 years of our group this year.

This group was the treble group that one first at ICCA Nationals in 2022.
Who are Pitches and Notes?
This is a non-competitive Bass a cappella group at UIUC. They are the only group technically associated with the university (because their members have to be in men's glee)

What is OG wine night?
On November 7th the Rip Chords will be having a joint concert in Milwaukee with this A cappella group. (Fun Fact: Bea used to be in this group her freshman year of college)

This concert hosts all 9 groups on campus to perform 2-3 of their fall songs. No Strings Attached hosts this concert and it is Oct. 23rd.

This event is hosted by Unity High School and hosts a bunch of groups from UIUC. They feed us food and we sing some songs.

Ok. So basically, the rumor is that it was started by 5 girls who were dating xchords; HOWEVER, according to a founding member they said that we are called the Rip Chords because their first album was called "Free Fall" so it's like a parachute chord. The "Rip Chord." ???????

Because UIUC always plans spring break to be during St. Patrick's Day, the student body created this holiday weekend the first weekend of March so that they are still able to celebrate St. Patrick's Day unofficially.
What is Unofficial?
This is when the rips travel together for a week during winter break. We rehearse, perform at high schools, and have a weeklong sleep over.
What is winter tour
