The program that provided work for young men and later trained them for military service.

A religious belief that supports liberal views of religion or wants to update Christianity for the modern world.

Became President after Harding died.
Who was Calvin Coolidge?
The producing of a surplus of goods that results in lowered prices; made life difficult for American farmers in the 1920's.
What is overproduction?
Shares in a business or corporation that can be bought or sold.
What is stock?
The program that provides for retirees and the unemployed through workers' taxes?

A religious belief that stands for the basic teachings of the Bible.

President who tried to improve the economy during the Depression, but made it worse.
Who was Herbert Hoover?
A type of politics where a boss would reward workers in exchange for votes; used by Roosevelt in his reelection.
What is a political machine?
The program that was proposed by Roosevelt to help the US economy recover from the Great Depression.
What was the New Deal?
A religious belief that is doubtful about the existence of God.
What is an agnostic?
Roosevelt was determined to not let the Supreme Court end the entire New Deal for this reason.
