When the realize the bridge is too narrow for both to cross at the same time, they rush toward the bridge, each trying to be the first one there. They arrive at the exact same time, which results in a battle.

He pledges his loyalty to Robin Hood and joins the band of merry men.

He names him Little John. He chooses this name to be funny because Little John is actually very large.
How do Much and Will Scarlet keep Worman from getting the pouch of Robin Hood's money and jewels?
As Worman is chasing Will through the forest, Will hands the bag of treasure to Much, who jumps into a hollow tree trunk to hide with the pouch until the coast is clear.
Why does Worman want to take Will Scarlet to Nottingham to be hanged?
He wants Will to hang in the public square market of Nottingham as a warning to all traitors, and especially to the followers of Robin Hood.
Why is the hangman not present at the hanging?

How does Robin Hood free Will Scarlet from the gallows?
Robin disguises himself as a palmer and volunteers to do the job of the hangman when the hangman cannot be found. While on the gallows, he secretly cuts the ropes that are binding Will's hands together, and slips him a sword.
How do Robin and Will escape from the gallows without being captured?
Robin's followers who had been disguised and hidden the crowd, pull out their bows and swords and surround Will and Robin, protecting them as they escape.
