What subclass of metamorphic rock is this?
What is the difference between the lava coming out of a SHIELD volcano and the lava coming out of a CINDER CONE volcano?
Shield volcano has lava that is much thinner/runnier than the cinder cone.
What subclass of Metamorphic rock is this?
Nonfoliated.
You notice that an Igneous rock is completely lacking crystals. Why does it not have any crystals?
It cooled too quickly for crystals to form/grow.
Water, wind, and even glaciers can carry sediment away from its parent rock in a process called...
Erosion
If these both form from the same process, why does one have foliation and the other doesn't?
Foliation requires heat & pressure applied to more than one mineral.
Non-foliation occurs when only one mineral is present (sometimes 2 if they are very similar).
what does sandstone form from?
What is the sand on the beaches, the ocean floor, riverbeds, and sand dunes.
