Balthasar must not be THAT concerned about Romeo. After expressing worry about his intentions at the tomb, Balthasar leaves and promptly does this.

"Here's Romeo's man. We found him in the churchyard."

Friar John was unable to deliver Friar Lawrence's message - he was suspected of having this.
