What is your job once you get in the classroom in the morning?
Go straight to your desk, put snacks and things in bin. Wait until staff call you to put your bin and jacket away.
When should you ask questions?
Once the instructions are fully given, often our questions get answered while the teacher is explaining.
What is catch-up?
Catchup is unfinished work that was missed due to struggling or refusal.
You will not have catch up if you were working with Erin.
What are the names of the classroom staff?
Nia is the teacher
Megan, Emily and Hailey are the classroom counselors
When will you be placed on S?
Being physically aggression or evading staff supervision. There are also case by case situations.
End of the day what does a tidy desk look like for the desk fairy to visit?
No extra papers, things are in pencil case, money is put away. No wrappers, snacks or other random things.
What does it mean to try your best?
Doing your work independently, trying to sound out words and not getting super frustrated when something feels too hard.
What does it look like to be ready to learn?
Attention on speaker, desk is clear, voice is off

What are the rules for going to the gym?
Walk in a line, enter the gym calmly, sit on the bench, change shoes (if needed), staff will invite you to join the group.
If you are using a fidget during learning what should this look like?
Eyes should still be on the speaker, engaged in the lesson, should not be distraction to yourself of others. If you are asked what was just said you should be able to answer if the fidget was being used properly.

How do you build back trust?
Following instructions, accepting feedback, focusing on self, doing your work, taking breaks when asked, completing repair work - apologies, acts of kindness.
What does lunch time look like while waiting for staff pick up/lunch to start?
Wait at desk until staff have given follow through and you are invited to leave with your staff.
Wait at your desk until staff let you know you can grab your lunch and start eating.
What does full body listening look like?
Calm body, eyes and ears on speaker, listening with heart, focused on the speaker, mouth is quiet
Octopal, what are they? What are the rules and expectations around them?
A class fidget, they are not to be distraction, not tossing them. They will go to Octojail if used improperly.
What is the age order of the staff? (oldest to youngest)
Nia, Megan, Hailey then Emily
If you are uncertain about how to get your status back what can you do?
Request that staff complete a checklist sheet so you can see what needs to be done. These can be changed and restarted.
Transitions to and from the classroom.
When we are leaving the classroom we are to be lining up and walking in a line. We are not making loud noises or arguing about the order of the line.
What are the levels of work, level 1, 2, 3, 4?
Level 1 - just a drawing, done fast, minimal effort
Level 2 - one colour, some detail, done fast
Level 3 - few colours, more detail, some effort, neat, some effort
Level 4 - lots of colour and detail, neat, took time and best effort.
What is the 5 second rule and what happens?
Only staff can call the 5 second rule. It is called when we need to leave the classroom. Students will go line up against the wall to transition to another learning space. There should be no screaming or pushing. We are moving in order to continue learning not to play or have free time.
