What is the student's job when they come in the morning?

Students should come in quietly and put their backpacks/personal items on their hooks. Then they will go sharpen two pencils and put their stick in the hot or cold lunch bucket. Then they should go back to their seats and quietly begin morning work.

Stop, look, listen to my directions. No talking.

Are personal devices like a phone allowed out of backpacks during class?

No. If it is seen outside of a backpack at school unless granted permission, it will be taken for the day.

What do students do with chairs at the end of the day?

Stack it on your chair, then check your area to see if there are any scraps you need to throw away.

If a student has a note from home, where should they put it? 

Tell Miss Sullivan about the note and place it on her desk.

When is a good time to go to the bathroom, get a drink, sharpen a pencil?

When directions are not being given. Transition times, group time, independent work time. ALWAYS come and ask me before you go.

How do we walk around the school and in the hallways?

Voices are off, walking in a line in number order, hands to yourself, walking on the right side of the hallway.

What should you do with your Chromebook when you’re done using it?

Close the computer lid put it back into the cart and plug it in.

After we come in from second recess, what do we do?

Plan, Pack, Pray. We will write any homework in our planners, pack up our bags, pray, and then go home. With extra time, we can read aloud or do the first five.

Check in at the office, unpack their backpack, and head to specials if it's after 8:20.

What happens if you get your work done in class time?

It is homework. Ms. Dermody and I will always give you time to work in class if you are staying on task you should get it done in class and not have homework.

Not following directions, being disrespectful, or disrupting learning.

Making sure YOU are completing your own work, and not copying someone else's work.

After prayer, when can walkers and carline kids leave?

Walkers can line up at the door and leave when they’re called, and carline kids stay in the classroom until their name is called

What are the expectations for independent, partner, and group work time?

Students are expected to work quietly and stay focused during independent work, share the job fairly and use an inside voice during partner work, and cooperate, stay on task, and help clean up during group work.

Use them responsibly and return them where they belong. Especially with the books!

No, second recess is earned by staying focused and completing work.

What is expectations for Mass days? (wearing, behavior, etc.)

Students should be wearing dress code pants with a red polo. Students should be respectful and quiet, participate in prayers and responses, and show reverence during Mass.

What must students include on every assignment to receive credit?

Your name should always be on it, and turn it in to the bin so I can check it!

If another adult or substitute is talking or teaching, how do we treat them?

The same as any other adult with kindness and respect. You should be listening and voices off when they are speaking.

Using a device to play games, message others, or break school rules.

Any homework you had, your planner, and a good attitude ready to learn.
