Place the shelf marker on the shelf next to the book you want to look at BEFORE removing the book from the shelf.

Place the book, with the spine out, right next to the shelf marker if you decide not to get that book.

Remove the shelf marker from the shelf once you've decided on the book.

Return the shelf marker to the white bucket when ready to check out.
