If you notice someone not wearing a mask, what can you do?
If you are in a position to do so and feel comfortable, you are welcome to ask the resident to please follow the guideline (put on their mask, not gather, etc.).
If the resident argues or refuses to comply, email Mel with their name and information when they return the equipment so that we can follow up.
You can call a duty don/RLC for support in dispursing a group. If you are worried for your safety or the students will not listen to the Dons/RLC, you may call campus police.

At UWP, please place it in a dumpster. At CLV, please place it next to the divided trash can in the Community Centre with a post-it reading “please dispose of”
Describe how to log about emails (sent, received, etc.) at the desk.
-log who you emailed, what you asked, if you are still waiting for a reply
-if you receive a reply, log what the sender said/advised
-log any responses you gave and what the sender said
-log if a follow-up email needs to be send on the next shift (this should be communicated verbally to the next FDA during follow ups)

What are the PPE guidelines for FDAs at this time?
Non-medical masks with at least two layers of tightly-woven fabric, covering one's nose, mouth, and chin are required in all residence buildings.
If you are unable to wear a mask you should connect with a member of DSMT for next steps.
During times when two FDAs are working together for more than 5 minutes at a distance of less than 2 metres, both FDAs should be wearing medical masks instead of their normal cloth masks, as well as eye protection

What is the process for Return to Sender (RTS) mail?
- Place it in the RTS mail bin during the day
- Make sure the mail doesn’t belong to anyone on campus by checking the resources
- If the package was delivered in error and intended for another off-campus address, place in off-campus mail
- If mail is for a past resident, write “RTS” on the front and place in off-campus mail

What can you do if a student discloses a positive COVID-19 test result or is concerned they may have been exposed?
The FDA should direct the student to contact reslifeteam@uwaterloo.ca immediately. If the student connected with the desk via email the FDA can also forward that email to reslifeteam@uwaterloo.ca for good measure.
