What is SRP

  • SRP provides consistent, clear, shared language and actions among all students, staff and first responders, that can be applied in any emergency.

400

  • Close exterior blinds (windows/doors) and lock doors.

  • Continue business as usual.  Any movement outside of secure spaces must be approved by the Command Post (student movement must be supervised).

  • Provide your status via the accountability sheet (or, if necessary, Reply All to the original email).

  • When resolved, an ALL CLEAR intercom message (by Admin & SRO) and email will be initiated.

    • When safe to do so, allow students to text parents.

  • Command Post will provide as much information as possible based upon the situation.

  • DO NOT open doors!  First Responders have master keys to open doors.  Await their response or an All Clear notification.

400

What is the difference between SRP and ALICE?

  • SRP (Standard Response Protocol) - All-Hazards Preparedness

    • During an emergency, an SRP command (via intercom or alarm system) will be given to orchestrate organizational response.

  • ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) - Active Threat Response

    • If an active threat emerges, ALICE guides your individual and collective responses to the specifics of the situation you are facing.

What should you do after you push an ERB button?

Call 911 and explain the situation. If the button has been pushed falsely by a student- let the office staff know immediately. Then call 911 and explain the situation.

What happens when SRP is initiated?

  2. Secure or Lockdown activation will result in an audible ERB alert,

  3. Staff will receive email notification with action steps and an accountability link.
