  • Activate 8-Way warning lights 200 feet before stop.
  • Constantly watch mirrors
  • Count students when approaching stop
  • Come to a smooth complete stop
  • Place bus in N and set the parking brake
  • Open door (Reds will activate)
  • Make sure traffic is clear and give students permission to cross if they need to
  • Count students as they board
  • Once students have boarded wait for them to get seated
  • Close door check mirrors and proceed
