What is the difference between a lockdown and lock out?
A lockdown means someone is in the building, a lockout means there is someone outside of the building.
What happens during a lockout?
The teacher makes sure the windows and exterior doors are closed and locked. Teaching and learning continues as normal, except there is no moving between buildings.
What if I am in the bathroom and there is a lockout?
Finish your business and get back to class.

What should you do in the event of an earthquake?
Drop, cover and hold wherever you can. In this class, under a chair or in a doorway.

Yes, but you MUST use the bathroom in the building you are in.
What if I am in the bathroom during a lockdown?
Make a judgement call. Either:
a.) close the bathroom door, stand on the toilet seat, and be very quiet
b.) run to the nearest classroom as fast as you can with your hands in the air.
How do you exit the building in the event of a fire?
Calm and quietly through the nearest exit.
If you are outside during an earthquake, what should you do?
Stay away from buildings, large trees, and utility wires. Duck as low to the ground as possible.
In the event there is an armed person in this room threatening to harm, what should you do?
Run out our back exit. Run somewhere safe. Call an adult.
Are you in danger during a lockout?
Not really. We're just taking precautions to keep you safe.
What if I have to pee during an emergency?
We have a bucket for that.
