Falling objects or projectiles caused by high winds will initiate this safety protocol.
What is Drop, Cover and Hold.
This kind of evacuation is activated when it's necessary for staff and students to exit the building because of a fire alarm or other unsafe incident in the building.
What is a BUILDING EVACUATION.
During this protocol, staff should continue normal functions within the classroom but should NOT allow movement outside of the classroom.
What is CLEAR HALLWAYS.
The Drop, Cover and Hold protocol requires that we position ourselves where, in relation to desks, tables or other stable furniture.
What is UNDER.
This kind of evacuation is activated to ensure the physical and/or emotional well being of students due to a medical event or behavior that poses imminent danger to students or staff in the classroom.

What is a CLASSROOM EVACUATION.
Protocol for this event directs us NOT to leave the building if the fire alarm sounds.
What is a Lockdown.
This is the only safety protocol that requires students and staff to move so they cannot be seen.
What is a LOCKDOWN.
If a bear comes onto school property during recess, this type of evacuation should be activated.
What is a REVERSE EVACUATION.
During this protocol, all staff and students should be inside the school building, all windows and curtains should be locked/closed, exterior doors should be locked and some staff should be assigned to monitor exits/points of entry. Learning may continue as normal unless otherwise directed.
What is SECURE CAMPUS.
During shelter-in-place, close all windows and do this to interior doors.
What is CLOSE AND LOCK.
Name the reunification site for Franklin's off-site evacuation protocol.
What is THE KEENE REC CENTER.
In the event of an active shooter, your best chance at survival is to do this, if you're able.
