This saint was enslaved and beaten so badly when she was young that she forgot her own name. Eventually he was placed in the care of sisters where she learned about God. She professed that she thanked her kidnappers because without them she wouldn't have come to know God.

This Saint was imprisoned in a concentration camp where he volunteered to die instead of another man who had children.
10 people including this priest were placed in a starvation bunker where he lead them in song and prayer. The 9 others died from starvation but this Saint was killed by lethal injection.
St. Maximilian Kolbe
When she was four, this Saint lost her parents and little brother in a smallpox epidemic that left her disfigured and half-blind. She was adopted by her uncle, who became chief. Hated by everyone in her village for becoming Catholic, this Saint suffered especially after she took a vow of virginity which was unheard of for a native American woman.
St. Kateri Tekakwitha
This Saint was the first Pope of the Church and someone very close to Jesus.
He was crucified upside down because he believed he wasn't worthy to die the same way Jesus died.
St. Peter
This Saint was Pope the first few weeks of WW1. He grew up poor in Italian family.
Pope Pius X
This (almost) Saint wanted nothing more than to receive Jesus in the Eucharistic. When she was 11 years old the Blessed Host floated to her and she received Jesus. She died immediately afterward.
Bl. Imelda
This (almost saint) was incredibly popular and showed kindness everywhere she went. When she was 17 she was diagnosed with bone cancer. Even though she was bed ridden she did everything with love. Her final words were, "I have nothing left, but I still have my heart, and with that I can always love.”

Due to the long pauses of silence he took this priest would often take hours to say the Holy Mass.
St. Padre Pio
Jesus appeared to her and she kept a diary of Jesus's revelations to her. Jesus showed her his divine Mercy that she brought to the world through her diary.
St. Maria Faustina
This Saint received degrees in medicine and surgery. When she was pregnant with her 4th child the doctors described a tumor. She could either get the tumor removed (which would kill the baby but save her life), get an abortion (which would save her life), or allow the baby to be born which is what she chose knowing it would kill her.
She is the patron saint of mothers and unborn children
St. Gianna Molla
One of the greatest teachers of the church. He was an exceptional writer and teacher. His family didn't want him to join the priesthood and imprisoned him. They tempted him with a striper but he chased her around the room with fire until she left. He was determined to live for God.
St. Thomas Aquinas
This (almost) Saint loved to Mount Climb and serve the poor! He looked for ways to bring everyone to Jesus even though his rich Italian family disproved of the way he spent his time! He had a deep love for the Eucharist and died at the age of 24 from Polio.

This Saint received the Stigmata becoming the first priest in the history of the church to receive the Stigmata.
