In 1917, just 5 yrs after Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts, a troop in Oklahoma decided to sell cookies in their high school cafeteria to raise money for their club’s activities.

The first official Girl Scout Cookie sale season took place in Philadelphia in 1933. Back then, you could buy a box for just $0.23!
