One billion years ago, this continent would be where the Elder Things would make their home after crossing the vast distances of space and would wage war against the Star-Spawn on that new world. There they would grow their empire and create things that were terrible like the Shogath and maybe something that may have ended up becoming humans. Now the Elder Things and their cities sleep beneath mountains of madness on that land mass.

Although often referred to as Lovecraftian horror, the genre also goes by this name for its connection to the universes unthinking, uncaring, unfeeling, nature. The terrible truth that humanity is nothing and unimportant. We are but a grain of sand that lays precariously close to the edge a chasm that is so deep it is literally impossible to fathom. In fact, according to the Cthulhu Mythos, we are nothing but the dreams of a sleeping blind idiot God known as Azathoth, and not if, but WHEN they awake, all reality will have never existed. For reality is just its dreams.

After a once humble Arabian philosopher delved too deep into places no human thoughts should go and looked into strange angles not meant for three-dimensional minds to comprehension, this forbidden tome made centuries ago by the Insane scholar Abdullah al-Hazrad, contains secrets from the past, truths of the present, and terrible portents for the future. It holds rights, rituals, and rules of strange sciences, magics, alchemy, and reality. it holds the names of gods, creatures, and beings who must never be named or never be thought of or who must be named to keep their wrath at bay. The information held on every page a potential trap for any who attempt to read or comprehend its content. Though it has been used to bring forth terrible things and to banish terrible things, People places or things inevitably pay the price anytime it has been used. The price for poor Abdullah was death when after completing his work he was seen later that day being ripped apart by some invisible monster in broad daylight for many terrified onlookers to witness.

Although not a traditional werewolf or perhaps a werewolf who has shifted and has now no longer the need nor desire to return to the form of a man, this beast also referred to as the Dog of East Anglia (East England is called East Anglia) may seem like just a regular werewolf. However, stories as far back as the 1500s suggest it also possess terrifying supernatural abilities. The very presence of this pitch-black hound with dreadful red glowing eyes portends an imminent calamity and misery for any who view it. One Of the most famous reports comes from the 4 August 1577, at Blythburgh in Suffolk, where it was said that the beast burst in through the doors of Holy Trinity Church to a clap of thunder. He ran up the nave, past a large congregation, killing a man and boy in the middle of prayer and causing the church steeple to collapse through the roof. As the dog left, he left scorch marks on the north door which can be seen at the church to this day.
