I’m a tenant that signed my lease 10 days before the fires began. I signed a year lease and my apartment building has been destroyed. Am I still eligible? Are there any conditions that must to met?
Yes you may still be eligible. To qualify as a tenant under the program, you must meet both of the following conditions:
A valid rental agreement effective on or before Jan. 7, 2025 (the day of ignition for the Eaton Fire)
The agreement must provide for occupancy or use of the property for a period of at least 30 consecutive days
