7shifts is one of our biggest scheduling competitors. T/F: 7shifts is not directly integrated with any POS.

Where would an employee go to swap a shift with someone else?

Click on their shift on the schedule, hit "edit shift" and there is an option to "swap shift". All employees in that same position will appear and they can select who they want to swap a shift with.

Remember, every SMB restaurant needs to scheduled shifts for their employees. Over X% of restaurant owners still use pen and paper to make their scheduled which takes hours.

T/F: if a customer uses another scheduling software and wants to pull over their pre-made templates/schedules from their previous software, they are able to do so

True!

T/F: you can manually push a sync from Toast into Sling so that it happens immediately, instead of waiting for the sync every 15 minutes. For example, you have a new employee starting and you forgot to enter their information into the system. They show up for their shift so you have to enter their details into Toast, and then you need to pull it over into Sling right away.

True! This is accomplished through the "settings" page on sling.

T/F: Marisa wants to swap a shift with Ethan. She goes to her shift, hits "edit shift" then "swap shift" and selects Ethan's name. Ethan is already working at that time at the customer's second location. Will Marisa be able to complete this shift swap?

Nope! Same situation as when an employer goes to publish a schedule, if there are any conflicts with the change an alert will pop up. In this case, a conflict alert will pop up and Marisa will not be able to complete the swap without manager approval.

What are the two main benefits of using Scheduling Pro

Control costs and save time

T/F: Restaurants can save unique schedules for things like holiday weeks, and re-use them later if they want to.

True! Restaurants can copy a schedule from any previous week, but can save certain weeks like holiday weeks as templates.

One of the ways that Scheduling Pro helps to control costs is by using what is called as Time Clock Enforcement. What does this mean?

Employees can't clock in early for their shift with Scheduling Pro, which means employers aren't paying them for extra time. If an employee tries to login too early for a shift, a screen will appear on the POS terminal asking for a manager's passcode to approve this action. This will report as an unscheduled timesheet in Sling, but it does allow the employee to bypass the enforcement with proper approval.

T/F: When a customer publishes something on their "newsfeed" or "announcements" page, they can see which employees viewed that post.

What are two disco questions that we can ask to understand how Scheduling can help save a prospect time?

Who is managing your schedules?

How long is it taking them to build the schedule?

How are you managing call outs during a shift?

What happens when an employee can't make a shift?

When creating a schedule, employers must create shifts to put into that schedule. Whenever a shift is made, employers have to hit "publish" to make that the shift available for employees to see. If there are any "conflicts" with the shift, those conflicts will pop up on the screen for the employer to see before publishing. What's an example of a potential conflict that could show?

- Certain employee this shift is available to is already over overtime

- Over the labor cost threshold for the day.

T/F: Scheduling pro offers sales forecasting software, which means we can use a restaurant's historical data to give an idea of how much business they are going to do in a given day, to better inform how many people they'll need to have on staff

Sling syncs data from Toast into their system every X minutes, which means if you have a new employee starting, you just have to enter their details (contact info, pay per hour, etc) into Toast once instead of entering it into Toast first and then Sling. Cut your time in half!

Give me an example of how a customer would use the "tasks" function in Scheduling Pro.

- Assign specific individuals tasks for that day. Ex: Justine's tasked with ordering new coffee supplies

- Create shift tasks. For example, anyone who has a closing shift will be assigned the closing shift task list.
