American College Testing. Act is a college entrance exam that measures educational development in English, Math, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities
College-level courses offered to high school students. This is offered in their high school curriculum.
AP Courses
What is the SAT?
Applicants whose parents or grandparents are graduates of the college or university where they are applying to.
Legacy Applicants
A scholarship program based mostly on scores from the PSAT. NMS Recieve scholarships ranging from several hundred dollars to full cost of attendance.
National Merit Scholars
What does PWI stand for?
Predominately White Institution
A Standard application form accepted by over 800 selective colleges in lieu of their own form.
The Common Application
This degree is awarded after satisfactory completion on a a two year program of study.
Associate's Degree
Areas of concentration in a particular field of study. Students generally specilaize in their majors during their junior years of college.

What is the difference between and grant or scholarship and a loan?
Grants/Scholarships are monies awarded that do NOT require repayment. Loans are monies awarded but must be paid back to the bank.
