A relationship in dance can be looking at someone dancing and shadowing (contrasting) their moves. You can have relationships with the music too. Moving along with the music (beat) is a relationship. Making movements that flow with the music is basically a relationship because you are agreeing with it. You are having a relationship when you are dancing with another person (or inanimate and animate things). It makes the dance better when you have a relationship with the other person or people you dance with. There are also different varieties of relationship that occur in dance, such as spacial, personal and timing.
