How do you ask for help in class?

You ask a neighbor if doing independent work. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait. If Mrs. Shelton is available you can visit her table.

You go safely and quickly to line. Follow line rules immediately.

How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.

When can I use the bathroom?

Before school, during recess, and lunch recess. During class, if it has been less than 30 mins since recess, you will pay 2 tickets or 2 laps.

What happens to you if you refuse to join the line to return to class?

You will lose recess time and walk laps instead.

How do you play on the structures? Slides, monkey bars, high places, etc...

Slides- down only

Monkey bars- take turns going across, don't hang upside down, don't climb on top

High Places- climb down-don't jump, stay inside the safety walls.

How can you help make sure everyone is contributing?

Check answers together, ask for help/opinions of teammates, encourage others to share ideas, stay positive.

What kind of food can students have during class?

Water, unless cleared by the teacher for certain reasons.

When can I sharpen my pencil?

Before school, during independent work. You can also trade your pencil for another.

What do you do when the yard duty person blows the whistle?

You stop and see what they need.  Safely and quickly line up if recess is over.
