What do you do when you want to talk in class?
Raising you hand quietly until you are picked.
What do you do when you get in class?
You pull out our ELA binder, planner (first day of the week), and pencil. Always sharpen your pencil.
What do you when you walk to the office or lunch?
You walk in a quietly and straight line.
When you come to school late like after 9:15, what do you do?
You need to go to the office to get a late slip.
How do you get your group to work together?
By taking turns talking and sharing.
What does it mean to clean up after myself?
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask you partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
When your class is called to line up, what do you do?
Clean up the recess equipment, grab your lunchbox/jackets, line up quietly.
Where should 3rd grade students play during recess?
In the assigned area with their classmates.
How many people is considered a group?
2 or more people.
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
How do I let my teacher know if I have to use the restroom?
Use a hand signal.
What happens to you when you need to get water or go to the bathroom during recess?
You ask your teacher and go to the bathroom she directs you too.
Why do we have a Calm Corner?
The calm corner is an opportunity to calm down if you're disrespect to teachers, others, or not following the rules. It is an opportunity to think about what you have done wrong.
If you request the calm corner, it is an opportunity to calm down and collect yourself before any of those issues occur.
What do we do if the group isn't getting along?
Try to assign duties, try to talk it out respectfully, or ask the teacher for help.
How do I try my best in class?
Ask for help, raise my hand, participate, and keep trying!
When can I sharpen my pencil?
Before announcements, at the beginning of class (first five minutes), or during dismissal. You can also trade your pencil for another from your caddy.
What do you do when the teacher blows the whistle at the end of recess?
You will walk quietly to you line and line up in number order.
How do students get a BTF?
By fighting, harassing others, threatening others, and disrespecting the teacher.
What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done. These groups earn Fun Friday tickets!

In number order.
How do we behave in the cafeteria?
Sit in your assigned seat and follow the GEMS pledge.
When can we leave this class?
Only with permission to go to the bathroom, get water, or office/errand. You will need a hall pass if leaving this building. It is located on the door.
What kind of noise will working in group sound like?
Students talking quietly but not disrupting others.
