What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are picked.
What do you do when you get in class?
You hang up backpack on your chair, get out your homework and complete your morning work SILENTLY.
What do you when you walk downstairs for lunch?
You walk in a quietly and straight line. You make one line for home lunch and one line for school lunch. Remember we have SILENT LUNCH!
What should you wear to school?
Proper Uniform. P.E. uniform is ONLY on days we have P.E. or Capoiera. Blue, Black or White sneakers are accepted. NO OTHER COLORS.
How do you get your group to work together?
By taking turns talking and sharing. Everyone must participate.
What can you do to help others be a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs or bullying! Be a LEADER.
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask you partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait for the teacher.
When the whistle is blown during recess what do you do?
You must freeze or line up.
Can I ever get out of my seat without asking?
No, you must raise your hand in which ever classroom you are in and wait to be called on.
What happens if one group member is not working?
The participation grade will be affected at the end of each trimester.
How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can I use the bathroom?
Before morning instruction, during recess, and lunch recess. You may not go during instruction unless it is a serious emergency.
What happens if you don't control yourself outside on the playground?
You might get wall detention and or lose your recess time.
What do we do during a fire drill?
Be completely silent and follow directions. The teacher will guide you to the nearest exit.
How can we earn table points?
Everyone is transitioning quietly and quickly. Everyone is on task and participating.
What kind of food can students have in class?
Healthy food ONLY and water bottles with lids. No junk foods.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
Before school, during recess time or afterschool. You can also trade your pencil for another.
What happens if you're caught talking during lunch?
You may lose part of your recess.
How do students get a green slip?
By not completing their homework. 3 missing homework assignments results in a lunch detention.
What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How do students line up?
Quietly and in order in which called.
How should you behave in the hallway to the cafeteria?
You should be quietly because it is called the quietly zone.
When can you go out of the class?
You can't unless your teacher sends you with a note or a hall pass.
What kind of noise will working in group sound like?
One mic. Everyone must listen to what each other is saying and have an open mind.
