What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are picked.

What do you do when you get in class?

Hang your backpack on the hook outside. Bring in your binder and pencil bag. Go to the restroom if necessary. Read the board for anything else you need to do or have ready.

When you come to school late like after 8:30, what do you do?

You need to go to the office to get a late slip then go straight to specials.

You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!

How do you ask for help in class?

Look at the CHAMPS poster to see what the appropriate option is for the activity.

What does a mark on the board mean? 

A mark on the board means you are not displaying honorable character. The first mark is a warning. Any mark after that will be noted on your behavior card.

Where should 4th grade students wait during arrival and dismissal?

In our line in the gym. You may whisper quietly.

How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.

When can I use the bathroom?

Before school, right when class starts, at lunch.

Who can give defining character marks? 

Any teacher in the building!

When can you go out of the class?

You may only leave the room with teacher permission.

What kind of food can students have in class?
Water.

When can I sharpen my pencil?

Right when you arrive to class or when you can freely move around the room and you would not be interrupting anyone.  You can also trade your pencil for another.

What are Honorable character marks? 

These are given when your teacher sees you implementing any of the honorable characteristics--thank you for following the expectations!

What is the voice level expectation during drills or emergencies? 

0-Silent No exceptions!

Along the back door in line order.

How does your parent know if you received any marks? 

Students will show their parents their behavior card every day and have them sign it once a week! Additional defining character cards may go home during the week if necessary.

How are you expected to behave in the cafeteria during breakfast or lunch? 

Go to the restroom before sitting down. Get in the lunch line if you ordered food. Otherwise sit in your seat, chat at a level 2 with your neighbors, and eat your food! No getting up and wandering around!
