What do you do when you want to talk in class?
Raise your hand quietly until you are picked.
What do you do when you get to class?
Say hello to Mrs. Strader, hang up backpack in the coatroom, and follow the directions on the morning board.
What do you do when you walk in the hallway?
You walk quietly and in a straight line.
When you come to school late, what do you do?
You need to go to the office to get a late slip.
How do you get your group to work together?
By taking turns talking and sharing.
What do you do to help each other be a better student?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask a classmate. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
When the whistle blows during recess what do you do?
You must freeze and stay quiet. If recess is over, immediately line up for lunch.
What do you do when walkers, car riders, or your bus is called during dismissal?
Walk quietly in the hallway and listen to your safeties.
How do students respect other students' properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can you use the bathroom?
Before school, during recess, and lunch. After instruction during class unless it's an emergency.
What should you do if you see a classmate alone?
Ask if they would like to play. Include everyone in games.
When announcements come on, what should you do?
Pause what you are doing, sit quietly and listen.
If using materials, how are they handled?
Get your materials quietly and quickly, use them appropriately, share if needed, put them away quietly and quickly.
When can you sit in your flexible seating choice?
During independent working time or when Mrs. Strader says it's ok.
When can you sharpen your pencil?
Before school, during recess time or afterschool. During a time when someone isn't speaking or teaching.
What do you do if you get hurt or need to use the restroom?
Ask the recess teacher.
How can you earn a SOAR feather?
Do things to show that you are safe, organized, accepting, responsible and respectful.
What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.
How can you respect others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How do students line up?
Quietly, respectfully, no cut-sies.
How should you behave in the hallway to the cafeteria?
Walk silently and in a straight line.
How do you act during an assembly?
Make good choices about who you sit next to, sit quietly in your spot, clap when appropriate, eyes on the presenter. Have fun!

What kind of noise will working in group sound like?
Students talking quietly but not disrupting others. One voice should not be heard above all others.
