By raising you hand quietly until you are called on- DO NOT INTERRUPT the teacher or a classmate.
Come in quietly and read the board for instructions.
What do you do when we leave as a class or you are dismissed from my class?
Walk quietly through the halls.
Do not disrupt other classes.
Go straight to your destination.
When you come to school late (after 8:50), what do you do?
You need to go to the attendance office to get a pass.
What is the consequence of academic dishonesty (cheating)?
-Copying another student's work or AI- yes, we know when you use ChatGPT
Consequences for cheating:
Loss of respect
Phone call home
Dean referral
Failing grade
Redo assignment

You ask you partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
What do I do when I am absent?
Check Google Classroom/Schoology and PowerSchool!

How do students respect other students' properties?
Keep your hands to yourself, and don't touch it if it is not yours unless that person has permitted you!
When can I use the bathroom?
During passing period! If you need, during independent work.
What happens if you are gone for an extended period of time?
1. Phone call home
2. Phone call home/lunch detention
3. Referral to Deans.
What is the tardy policy?
First Tardy = Warning
Second Tardy = Phone Call Home
Third = Teacher Detention
Fourth = Dean Referral
What are the roles for each member?
You can choose a leader, but EVERYONE shares the responsibility of writing, speaking, thinking, and presenting!
When can you use your cell phone/ Headphones/ Earbuds?
ONLY during green time!
Automatically sent to the deans’ office for a phone call home.
Cell Phone Zones:
Red = We don’t even want to see the phone/Earbuds
Yellow = Used for school
Green = Unlimited use
When can I sharpen my pencil, get a tissue, or ask to use the bathroom?
When I am not talking or your classmate is not talking/presenting.
Ask your teacher before using the bathroom.
LEAVE cell phone in-class
Either in backpack or if teacher has a cell phone pouch/spot.
Hang bathroom pass on hook outside bathroom.
NO CELL PHONES WILL BE ALLOWED IN BATHROOM: RED ZONE!
**If it’s a Passing Period, put the phone in your backpack!
In what classes are you allowed to eat?
1st and 6th- but only the first 15 minutes.
What does a good working group look like?
They are RESPECTFUL to each other, engaged, positive, encouraging, and cooperative!
How can you be respectful in class?
By listening, considering others, and using appropriate language and gestures.
What is an appropriate noise level?
No yelling or screaming! Be reasonable.
What is the cell phone policy?
Before the bell rings in class…the phone is turned off/on silent and put away in BACKPACKS.
Violation #1: Go to the Deans’ Office & Phone Call home
Violation #2: Go to the Deans’ Office & Phone Call home
Violation #3: Go to the Deans’ Office
Phone is confiscated for the rest of the period AND the NEXT period and kept in the Deans’ Office. Phone may be picked up at passing period ONLY.
Violation #4: Phone is confiscated and kept in the Deans' Office until the end of the day.
Violation #5 and further violations: Phone is confiscated and kept in the Deans' Office until parent/guardian picks up phone
When can you go out of the class?
When you ask the teacher and make a smart pass!
