What is the Scout law?
A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Why is the buddy system important?
The buddy system is important because if someone gets lost, they are not alone. It also allows someone to know were their buddy is at all times.
What are some precautions you should take before swimming?
You should pay attention to the weather, what animals are nearby, and your surroundings such as the types of plants and how shallow the water is.
What are three indicators of impending hazardous weather?
“Red sky at morning, sailor take warning,” “If smoke hangs low, watch out for a blow,” “Swallows flying near the ground mean a storm will come around.” Also dark skies, hair standing up, etc.
What are merit badges, and how can you earn them?
Merit badges are tokens of a skill that you've learned, and you get them by demonstrating various things about the skill to a counselor of that merit badge.
What is the Scout Oath?
Oath: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and obey the Scout law to help other people at all times, keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
What is the difference between 1st degree, 2nd degree, and 3rd degree burns?
1st degree burns will just make the skin tender and red (like a sunburn). 2nd degree burns will burn you underneath the tissues of your skin and form blisters. 3rd degree burns are the most severe burns, you can't feel them because they have burned and killed your nerves.
How do you deal with shock?
1. Call for help
2. Try to eliminate the cause of shock if possible.
3. Help the person suffering from shock lie down.
4. Keep them warm with things such as blankets, jackets, and sleeping bags.

Have qualified supervision, make sure your health's in check, be able to swim well and know how to use your boat, have life jackets, use the buddy system, plan well, and have the right equipment.

Stinging nettles, nightshade plants, poison ivy, eucalyptus variants, cacti.
Why is pocketknife safety important?
It is important so that you don't hurt yourself, or others around you.
How do you treat a blister?
You do not pop a blister, you put moleskin around the tender area to relieve pressure. If it pops on it's own, wash it.
How do you treat an someone with an object in their eye?
If something gets in someone's eye, tell them not to rub it, and that if their wearing contacts to take them out. Tell them to blink quickly to try and wash out the object with their tears, if this doesn't work, wash out their eye with clean water.
What are the steps of CPR?
Check if the person's airway is unblocked, and if they're breathing. If not, then call for help and begin firm chest compressions at around 100 BPM, 2 inches deep. You want to press hard; better to survive with broken ribs than die from not breathing or having a heart attack.
What respect is due of the United States flag?
The flag should never touch the ground or the ceiling, and should be carried high. It shouldn't be used as apparel or bedding, etc(it's legal, but not respectful in my opinion). Once the flag is out of use, retire it with proper care, preferably burning.

The four steps are learning, testing, reviewing, and recognition.

T(Travel Responsibly), R(Respect the Rights of Others), E(Educate Yourself), A(Avoid Sensitive Areas), D(Do your Part)
What should you do for "hurry" cases of stopped breathing, stroke, severe bleeding, and ingested poisoning?
In all these cases, call 911 immediately before you assess the situation. If it's poison or venom, save the thing that caused it or get a description of it. If it's bleeding, then do the first aid that you know for that. For stroke and stopped breathing, check for responsiveness and start CPR if you know it.
What is the Patrol method?
In short, the Patrol Method is where the Patrols and their boy leaders run the program in the Troop. The adults stand aside and let the Scouts do it.

The EDGE method has 4 parts, they are explain, demonstrate, guide, and enable.
What are the three R's of personal safety and protection?
Recognize(check is something is harmful or breaking rules that can hurt other people)
Respond(do something to deescalate the situation, and try your best to avoid things going wrong)
Report(tell someone trusted who can help if you recognize something wrong is happening)
What are the five most common signals of a heart attack?
Pressing or squeezing sensation in the chest
Neck, jaw, back, or stomach discomfort or pain
Arm or shoulder pain(primarily left arm)
Shortness of breath
Lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, cold sweats

Drought, sea level rising, wildfires; any answer works as long as you explain it and how it can be fixed.
