Enter quietly and hang your backpack on the back of your chair. Pull out agenda and homework to be checked by the teacher.
How do you walk anywhere on campus?
In a quiet, abc order, straight line.
When you come to school late, what do you do?
You need to go to the office to get a tardy slip.
Where would you find another copy of a worksheet you lost?
Blue folders by door. Organized by day.
How do we talk to other students and teachers?
Using kind words!
How do you ask for help in class?
Raise your hand quietly. If you are in partners/groups, ask the other students first before asking me!
What do you do when you hear the whistle/bell at recess?
You immediately stop what you are doing and line up in abc order. Put away equipment if you have it.
How much does an extra pencil cost?
$10
When can I use the bathroom for free? How many free classroom bathroom breaks do you get?
Before school, during recess, and lunch recess. You get one free bathroom break during class.
What happens if someone is being mean or rude at recess?
Tell and aide. Do not wait to tell me.
What happens if you forget your badge?
Let your teacher know right away to get a temporary badge.
If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or frustrated, where should you go?
The calm corner.
What kind of food/drink can students have in class?
Water.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
After showing the 1 symbol and when the teacher is not talking.
What if you need the nurse during recess?
Do NOT just go. Ask an aide or a teacher.
