You put your backpack in your locker, put your red folder in your mailbox, make a lunch choice and begin your wake up work.
What do you when you walk to specials, recess or lunch?
You walk in a quietly and straight line.
When you come to school late like after 8:25, what do you do?
You need to go to the office to get a late slip- NBD!
How do you get your group to work together?
By taking turns talking and sharing.
What do you do to help your classmates be the best they can be?
You encourage others by saying positive things. No put downs!
How do you ask for help in class?
You can read the room and try again. Or, you can ask a classmate. If you still need help, you can ask a teacher.
When the whistle blows during recess what do you do?
Line up quickly and quietly.
Where should 3rd grade students play during recess?
The need to play within the school boundaries (no woods). You can play on the field if it's open.
How many people is considered a group?
2 or more people.
How do students respect other students' belongings and property?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.
When can I use the bathroom?
The best times are before school, during snack and recesses, and during lunch. You can also use the bathroom if you really need to by placing the bathroom pass on your desk (2 at a time).
What if I need to order breakfast?
If you skipped breakfast, you can pick up breakfast in our cafeteria and bring it back to our classroom. YOu can eat at the blue tables. You must finish eating by the 2nd bell, 8:20.
What kind of shoes do I need to wear?
You must wear shoes that can stay on your feet and shoes that keep you safe.
What do you do if you make a mistake?
Celebrate! Mistakes just mean you're in the process of learning something new.
What kind of food can students have in class?
Students can eat their own nut-free snacks. Students can get water from the water fountain.
When can I sharpen my pencil?
During wake up work time, during activity times and at the end of the day.
If I want to use a ball during recess, where do I get one?
Our classroom has a recess equipment bin. You can borrow a ball or jumprope. Please return it to the bin so we can play all year.
Can I wear a hat at school?
You can wear a hat when you're outside of school. It's polite to take your hat off when you are inside school.
What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.
How can you show respect for others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate words and gestures.
How do students line up?
We form a straight, silent and safe line using our color spots.
What do I do during lunch?
EAT! You sit down in your seat while you are eating. You clean up after yourself. After lunch, you wait in your seat for your teacher to ask you to line up.
What's the most important school rule?
