1. Get your chair.  2. Start on the exit ticket. 3. Raise your hand to give it to Mrs. Wagstaff 4. Put your backpack and other items away in the coatroom.  5. Quietly wait and listen to announcements.  6. Be respectful of other students by listening and taking turns to talk.

How do we earn recess or other rewards?

Students get a point when everyone is following directions.  When you get to 30 pts, students nominate and then vote on a reward.

How can you show you are responsible?

Following the rules. Being kind to others.  Finishing and turning in your work.  Asking questions if you don't understand.

What is the expectation when we are working at the whiteboards?

Everyone is standing. NO sitting.

Take turns being the scribe.  When you are the scribe you are not the brain.  You can only write what the others tell you.

Everyone helps and tries to understand the problem--process and answer.  Ask questions if you don't.

By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.

When can I use the bathroom?

Before school and during lunch recess.  Raise hand or give bathroom signal--After 10:15, not during science, and after 2:30.

What is the expectation for written responses?

1. Always write in full sentences unless Mrs. Wagstaff says otherwise.  

2. For Study Sync, usually several sentences are required. Answer the question, provide details, give text evidence, and explain.

What happens when you don't follow a rule?

1. Get a warning from Mrs. Wagstaff

2. If you don't change your behavior, you may be asked to move.

3.  When you are moved, you don't talk to anyone.  The class's job is to ignore you.

4. If you are still having problems following rules or if you are extremely disrespectful, you may be asked to leave the room, go to a buddy class, or call home.

What are the expectations when we do Socratic Seminars? (talking about a story or article read in Study Sync)

Take turns.  Respect others by listening. Make 3 or more comments for a proficient grade.

Water; anything not too messy, especially around the Chromebooks

Straight line-no talking. This means you are staring at someone's back.  NO, we don't walk in couples or groups.
